broken tunze 6200

hi!
i recently i had a breakdown on one of my two tunze pumps(6200)
you know when the proppeller-shaft gets clogged up width lime and get stuck the alarm goes of....

whell the alarm did`nt go off on this one...
i onely herd a low humming sound from the driver... it was basicly dead...

so i contacted the tunze europe(i`m norwegian) and they told me that i should get a new one for free. they did`nt even wanted the olde one back... so thombs upp for tunze`s custoers suport:thumbsup:

so hers my question.... what went wrong width the old pump...? was not even a year olde... tried run it width the other driver but nothing happend... so i guess it must be the motor?

im basicly not interesting keeping it if it`s all junck now, but if it will work width just buying a new motor is less ekspensive than buying another one.

so hope i`ll get some replys form the tunze team that have dealt width thees issues before.

Do you have the date code from the pump? It is three numbers stamped on the back. It could be one of two problems. There is a Hall sensor inside that can be at an angle so it doesn't accurately sense the magnetic field, this is rare now but was more common until about 2004, we made a change in assembly technique to help prevent this but it can still happen though very rarely. In early 2007 we had a problem with a new plastic we switched to for VDE standards and this plastic could cool in such a way it formed layers and the layers would seperate and fold, stopping the pump.
 
246 is the numbers.
i bougt them last summer, but for all i know the store could had have them in stock for a year ore so?
does the number tell you anything?
 
so it will work propperly if i replace the old motor width a new one you think? i know you cant say guaranty annything sins you do`nt have it in you hands... bu if you could guess:)
