Brown Algae?

Im not positive, but i think im dealing with some brown algae.

from the searching i have done, i think it may be caused by the light I am using.

It seems like powerful LED light that came with my 43 Gallon Tank. (was meant to be a freshwater tank)

Tank has been setup for 2 weeks, and i have had the light on about 12 hours a day or so.

Is the light the cause? I plan on getting new lighting in a few months when im ready and well educated for coral, but i thought i could use this light for my fish only until then.

what should i do to remove the algae?

this is my plan, get in my clean up crew, and cut the light down to 2 hours a day, in a week or so if its cleaned up, then i can add my fish and put the light on for 6 hours a day or so?

Let it go at this point. Two weeks is not enough to "settle" all processes in your tank. Check forums on how to set up salt water tank and about "stages" tank has to go through. During first month or two it's normal for a tank to go through brown, green, red algae blooms. You can shut down your lights since it's not necessary to keep it on at this stage. That will help you a bit with your brown thingy.

definitely agree with Mr. Danil on this one!

Do nothing, go out to dinner and have a nice glass of Merlot. At 2 weeks old Forgetaboutit.
Wait a few months or years before you start to get concerned about anything. Then have another glass of Merlot.

Thats Dinoflagellates. Very common for a fresh tank. You may see it a couple times throughout the cycle. Just make sure not to overfeed the tank, otherwise it'll continue to grow. It could also mean that you don't have a good enough nutrient export if it stays.
