Brown Algae

I have this brown algae on my sandbed, and I can't seem to get rid of it. It's been around for almost a month. It seems to have started after I hooked up my calcium reactor. I use RO/DI water, I do a 6g water change every week. I'm running a phosphate reactor 24/7. My bulbs are 2 months old and are on 7hrs a day. I feed every other day. My water params are:

Temp: 78-80 deg. F
pH: 8.2
Ca: 410
Alk: 7.7 dKH (2.74 meq/L)
Mg: 1305
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 0

Anyone have any advise?

Maybe so, but the with the flow I have I can see the algea moving so I can't blame it on a dead spot.

I have the same thing happening to my tank since I added the reactor, the only thing helping is cerit and nassaries snails, I have about 40 nass and 20 cerits in my 120 and they seem to be doing the job.

I did read about the media contributing to it but like you I run a phos reactor 24/7 I use the ARM media and in a comparison it was better than the other ( I can't remember the name but it starts with a K) it stated that some media will contribute to algae growth more than others.

I took some advise and run the PH in the reactor at 6.9 and right now it is balanced I'm afraid to start messing with the co2

I have a signal goby and a diamond watchman. The signal seems to stay in one spot. I have not seen the diamond watchman since the day I got it...two days ago.
