Brown coral recovery progress

There are 8 colonies (well, 7 and a frag, now). A top and side shot of each of the 8. Assuming those are tentative IDs from post #32? I appreciate it.

Well, the price was right :)

I take it you have picked up some before? How did they turn out?

Yes ( a pretty lime green with blue tips Millie and a awesome yellow coral with green polyps), I will be ordering more for my new set up. I dipped mine in coral RX pro for five minutes and have not experienced any STN/RTN.

Yours are coming along just fine wait until you hit the six month mile and you will really be surprised :celeb1:

Got any before/after pics? Just after pics? Glad yours worked out well for you. The few that local club members have gotten turned out really well.

I was chatting with someone via PM about the brown corals and they asked for a FTS, so i thought I'd post it here along with a few other pics from my tank.

And no, that big millie in the back isn't dead. It's a wild colony that's sloooowly coming around. i have high hopes for that particular piece.

Corals ordered. Some friends and I got together and ordered two large colonies and 1 small colony each. Will get pics up once they are in, dipped, and acclimated.

Pics to come on Sunday.

Cool, can't wait to see what you get.

Yes, red planaria. I'm slowly working them down to where I'm comfortable using FWE.

It's Friday, so I'll have updated pics tonight. To my eye at least they seem to have made really good progress since last Fri. My only real beef is, I'm having trouble finding a place for them in my tank. As of now, they're still on the sand bed. I think increased light and flow will do them a world of good now that they're all settled in and acclimated. I may do some rearranging this weekend to squeeze them in.

Oh, and just FYI, colony #1 that started to RTN, is now completely gone. The frags I made bit the dust a few days later. So, we're officially down to 7 :(

I'll get back to the regular side/top format next week, but tonight I'm going to post comparison pics. First, how they looked when they arrived, then how they look tonight. Unfortunately, my camera skills leave a little to be desired, especially in the capturing correct color department, but whatever. here we go.

very nice! Mine will be here in a matter of hours! Will get pics up ASAP! Yours are looking great!

Oh and the customer service at BlueZooQquatics is great! Not sure if they are a sponsor here but they should be. Very nice on the phone and knows what there talking about.

Couldn't be happier! Just got my order of 3 medium, 4 large and got a ton of nice stuff. All have great potential, except one lol. I will post pictures in a couple days.

Blue Zoo is my new favorite online dealer. They shipped this stuff so carefully, when i got everything the was still at about 78 degrees and i had minimal damage to the huge colonies. A+++++ For Blue Zoo!
