about 3 weeks ago i treated for red bugs or AEFL as y'all call em on two corals my acro nana's Ive noticed they browned out a bit heres what I did.

treated entire tank with saliferts flatworm exit then did a fresh water dip for ten seconds replaced corals back in tank waited twenty four hours polyp extension is great but the bright purple green and blue coloring of the corals is gone and they browned out all except the tips every other sps did not brown out just the nana's next day I replaced carbon filter media and phosban and also did a 25% water change levels are stable except for calcium as mentioned in my other thread is this normal or should i be freakin out??? let me know thanks for your help experts:)

red bugs are not the same as aefw, (acro eating flat worms) the aefw are much worse, and much harder to get rid of.

and as far as i know fwe doesnt' kill aefw, nor red bugs, so im not sure what exactly you are doing

why did you freshwater dip acros???Mistake #1

Treating red bugs and AEFW with FWE was mistake #2

Mistake # 3 was not researching before acting .

yeah, i completely agree with clkwrk, except mistake #1 was not researching.

i didn't even see the freshwater dip part; bit of a run on sentence there. fw dip is a no no for sps, and ten seconds isn't likely to kill anything but the sps anyways.

well I guess I must of done something right I havent seen any red bugs I now understand the difference. its been three weeks since the treatment and the corals are coloring back up and polyp extension has been better than ever before! I think i must of done something right!
