Peppermint shrimp don't always work and should not be relied on fully. I would use another method to kill the anemome and use the peppermint to eat the 'leftovers' and smaller anemones.:hmm6: oh God, good thing i asked on here as usual!! Off to buy a peppermint shrimp :-l

Aiptasia-X quickly became my best friend when I had that in mine. I did add a peppermint shrimp after treating as a preventative measure. I haven't seen him eat any but I haven't really had any come back so maybe he did...
Boiling RO and a turkey baster is a good natural solution.
First switch off your pumps.
Give the pest a good blast with the baster (leaving the rubber bulb compressed while the pest shrivels and starts to break up, then loosen your grip on the bulb so it sucks up the remains).
Aiptasia eating filefish, peppermint shrimp, LASERS, fire, and nuclear fallout will work very well in removing aiptasia.
Thank you, any chance i can get an opinion on my last post?
With peppermints, I think it is best to have multiple so there is competition for the aiptasia. With competition, they will gobble it right up. With only a single one, they will take their sweet time and do whatever. Getting one is kind of a shot in the dark.
