BRS 1.1ml Doser dosing under 1.1ml

Hey guys.

I run a ZEOvit reef.
I dose ZEOstart 0.23ml morning and night manually. Though I was wondering, since I have an apex, would it be possible to run the BRS doser for less than 1 minute, essentially allowing me to dose the required amount of ZEOstart?

sure - it should be just fine.

Yes absolutely. Just make sure you use the mechanical relay outlets on the EB8... outlets #4 and #8. I use this dosing generator for my Apex controlled BRS dosing pumps.

If you want to be really accurate you will want to test how much it's actually dosing per minute. And retest that rate after broken in for several months and again when the tubing is replaced. Reports are that they dose a bit faster then 1.1ml/m.

Good point! Both of my BRS dosers rate at 1.3ml per minute. I account for that in my programming.

I did last night! I found between 7-8 seconds is the mark for about 0.23ml.

I've got it running on a 12 hour cycle now. Using tank water of course, dosing into a small cylinder.

Yup it will work. I found a digital timer that goes down to 1 second intervals for a similar application. Worked fine, and the low speed of the 1.1 ml/min motors makes it even easier.
