BRS 50ml ato pump

just opened up the box and while reading the instructions it says for intermediate duty use. so if i use around a 3-4qts of water a day is this going to be too much for this pump to dose. Just running the pump on the counter and it seems like it would take a few hours to pump a gallon of water.

i you have this pump or a top off then how much do you top off and how long does it take.
pump will be controller via my apex using one float switch so it will keep the water level within 1/2 or so. right now i can go about 6 days off about 4 1/2gallons.

you need auto top off .com I did the same thing; got a 50 and realized no go. I have two autotop.com and love em.

Use an Aqua Lifter pump $16.00 with top off, for saftey have the pump on a timer so it will have a three hour window max +/- if you have controller it will handle this for you use your doser for calcium/or Kalkwasser drip

Well I am pumping water from the garage into the attic and across the house so pretty sure an aqualifter pump won't cut it. Really glad when I asked for pump suggestions that this brs pump was the way to go, all to find out that it isn't gonna work.

Well I figure I can set it up and see how long it lasts until I can find a better pump.
Looks like it will take around 70 minutes to top off. Gonna call brs and see if that is too much run time every day for it.

If you are only topping off about 5 gallons a week you will be fine with this pump.

How far are you pumping water? Sounds like it is really far, and not sure what pump would be economical for this. Why are you storing 5 gallons of water so far away from where you need the top off water to go?

Remember the slower the pump, the longer it will take for your tank to crash when your ATO fails and the pump gets stuck on. 50ml per minute is about 19g per day, that's actually a lot for an ATO IMO. If I'm evaporating a gallon per day, I'd prefer a pump that's more like 2ish g per day, but that's just me.

I am storing about 30g in the garage where my rodi is at.at travels about 40' horizontally. Currently I have a 5g bucket under the stand for top off with a mj900 for a pump. Gonna plumb everything up this weekend and hopefully have of running soon.still have to bend float brackets and run the water line through the wall down to the tank. My sump will easily hold 20g of extra water so flooding won't be an issue. Also will have redundant float switches and going to wrote some code for apex so the pump can't run over 120 min/day
