BRS order

I'm about to order from BRS. Short about $25 for free shipping.

Anybody need/want anything from them and would like to avoid shipping charges?

Let me know ASAP!

Is it too late to jump in on the order?
Thanks

I'll cut off ordering today, Saturday, at 5PM.

To those who have ordered, check your PMs. I like to confirm that I clicked on the correct item.

Thank guys, we are in FREE SHIPPING territory!

For Ken, thanks for the snarky comment! :D :D We would all love our information to be secure. It looks like the ApplePay type of system (I believe there is a Google version, too) might be the answer, for now.

I'm about to place an order too, I'll probably hit the free shipping on my own, but if anyone wants an item or two and piggyback on the free shipping let me know.

Snarky? Moi?? :D

I was affected so it's a bit of sore spot.

How did you know it affected you? What should we be looking for?

I pay via PayPal. I have no idea if that is extra protection or just another back door to info. :(

It certainly is a PIA to deal with hacked credit cards.

We have three. One is 'only in emergency'. Emergency is defined as the other two cards are hacked and being replaced.

The two other cards get hacked just about every six months. We haven't lost any money yet but it's a pain to reset the auto pay links. The CC companies seem to take it in stride. There doesn't seem to be much interest from them in finding and correcting the problems.

I received a written notice from BRS via snail mail. Paypal avoids using a credit card, so that can't be misappropriated, but Paypal has bank routing and account numbers, so there is a vulnerability if they get hacked.

I have also experienced a difference in concern from banks using a debit versus a credit card. Losses on a debit card seem to be my problem, whereas the bank got a whole lot more excited with credit card fraud.

Ken,

I got a letter also. What do you mean paypal avoids using a credit card? I have my amex that I use with them? I put my amex as another protection which they have covered me prior. They refunded me on a purchases from a seller who packaged corals horribly, and I took pics within 2 hrs to prove it. I opened a thread provided multiple emails to the seller and they refunded me the amount paid. I'm a believer in AMEX but you pay for their service to say the least.

I am of the opinion that Paypal has my bank routing and account number versus a credit card. I could be mistaken. I set my account up years ago.

I just checked. Paypal has my bank routing and account number. No credit or debit cards.

I wouldn't let PP have my bank info. It seems safer to me to go thru the CC than to give them access to the 'mother ship'.

None of the above is based on any facts! Just my guess as to 'best'.

And now back to the thread...

For those that are part of my BRS order, it shipped and UPS predicts it will be delivered this Friday, 3/6.

Can you pm me my total john? I'll see you Saturday at some point. Does that work for you?
