Brute garbage cans

Just picked up a brute can for mixing my salt water. Do I just rinse with r/o and use? Or is there something else I need to do. I will have a 1" bulkhead near bottom for drain.

I just rinsed mine. Definitely rinse after putting the bulhead in.

I use them for curing live rock. Works well.

wipe the inside with a rag soaked in peroxide....sterilizes everything

I use brute trash cans with no problems if your concerned maybe a little clean up with some r/o water.
