brute question

so guys, i am likely applying my reef/ plumbing skills to solve a humidity issue for a instrument storage where they won't let me direct connect a line.

My Main question is. Do the 44 and 55 gallon brutes Really hold the water as rumored? i mean no buckling or splitting?

If an administrator would walk in and think I am crazy for putting water in one.. well... I might as well go a different route.

I am hoping to mount an ultrasonic humidifer on top of one, that will be continously filled from the brute below.. and will have it's tiny evoparating resivor with a overflow built in to keep a fresh supply. :)

i have a brute, not sure the size at the moment, I got it at home depot for like 30 bucks, and have used it for over a year without spilling any. the sides are still prefect like the day I bought it.

The water that gets out for me is when the heater is running with the lid on and then Condensition builds up under the lid, and drips of if not open the right way

I have held/made water in mine for years with no issues. Almost everyone I know makes/stores water in them because they are "food grade".
