BTA & Acropora compatibility

Sure then can, but if the BTA moves around the tank, it will sting ( perhaps even kill ) any SPS that it comes in contact with.

I am in the process if removing my BTA from my 75 because if that. It is getting too big and taking up too much space.
 
I will agree with the stinging part....

I was moving a SPS frag and accidentally lost grip of it and it fell onto one of the tentacles of my nem.....now there is a bare section on that frag where it came in contact with the nem.
 
Its all about placement. I kept a BTA in a 55 for 3 years luckly it stayed put. It did get big and tank up almost a quarter of the tank and stood almost the entire height of the water column before it split in thirds.

they are not compatible per se.
I like to see anemones in species tanks not to say I have not done it myself
:)
Long term its just more likely to "work"
