BTA Anemone Behavior

So I waited about a year and a half before I got an anemone and it has now been in my tank for 2 weeks. It looks great and all my water parameters are in check but I just thought this was odd.

At night is when he fully inflates and looks very healthy. When the lights come on he goes to about half the size he was and deflates a quite bit.

He will only eat food when the lights are off, I have tried a few times when the lights are on and wants nothing to do with the shrimp. I just fed him before posting this and he ate the shrimp right up no problems (lights were off). Has anyone experienced this type of behavior? Could he still be acclimating for 2 weeks now? Any help would be great, thanks!

Yes it could be acclimating still... Especially if you have strong lighting and no hiding places for the nem.

Well I have an apollo reef led over the tank but there are places to hide, plenty of caves and such. He hasn't moved no more than an inch since I've had him as well.
