BTA artificial anchor point

Has anyone had any success with some sort of artificial anchoring point for a BTA? Mine is currently happy, but I've had BTAs in the past spend quite a while wandering, only to settle somewhere undesirable (no light, or in the back of the tank, whatever). I was thinking if I could get them to settle into some sort of artificial anchor, I could then move it wherever I want.

I tried a PVC cap once, but it didn't take to it. Anybody else have any success with this?

i guess you could try like a big frag plug. not sure if thats what you mean though.

If yours are going to the back of the tank or hiding from the light, could your light be to bright?

They're just wandering, and if they find a place they like they don't seem to mind the light. I'd just like a little bit more control over where they end up.

I have 6 54w t5s, which I don't think would be overly bright anyway.
