BTA closing at day, open at night

Hey all,
On Wednesday 24th I added a BTA to my tank. On the first night it stayed when it was put when introduced, moved on the second night to a rock crevice. It has since settled in that rock area, extending during the night and closing once the lights start coming on. Is this normal behaviour while it fully acclimatises to my tank? I haven't observed any of the tank inhabitants harassing it. It's a bit on the bleached side. Tank has been up over a year.

Water Parameters :- Salinity 35ppt, kH 8.5 dKh, Ca 445, Mg 1395, Temp 26 degress. Lighting is a photon48. Here are some pics :-

I would say that's normal behavior for an anemone as bleached as yours. Feed it a few times a week to build its zooxanthellae back up.

I would say that open at night and closed during the day is opposite of normal behavior. What is the light level. BTAs need about 2000 LUX 40 PAR at the level they are at in the tank.
I would limit feeding. No more than once per week and only a small amount. You really need to green up your nem and that requires good lighting.

Obviously I didn't mean it was normal healthy behavior.

When an anemone has bleached this much, any light can stress it out like this. Feeding the anemone to build up some zoo is the only way to get it healthy again.

I would say it's trying to hide from the lights being too bright then trying to filter feed and grab something at night.

I'll try dipping the lights back to 50% and see how that goes. :) I've been feeding the tank frozen rotifers and frozen brine shrimp.
