BTA & Corals

I want to buy a BTA for my False Percs but I also want to start building the tank into a reef. What corals will the BTA get along with?

I've heard that they can get along with some such as Toadstools. I would like to go to reef but if BTA will not get along with many corals then what coral will my False Percs host in?

I have had them host in toadstools, hammer coral, torch coral, frogspawn, elegance corals. They don't need anything to host to live very well and long in captivity.

So I wouldn't be able to get a BTA with any corals even if I were to give it its own space? Which is the most likely coral for my False Percs to host in or should I buy a few of the ones you listed?

you can give it, it's own space, but the nem can and will move at will. I have seen many tanks over the years that have been able to sustain corals and nems in them together w/o any harm. I am not a proponent of this method and I'm not against it either. I'm just saying before you do it make sure that you understand that the nem can kill that piece of coral you just spent $$$ on. I truly don't know which one the clowns might take to as a surrogate. I 'm only telling you what they done in my tanks over the years.

Do hammerheads need feeding? If so then what?

Mine always likes SELCON soked brine shrimp. Seemed to work pretty well.

You don't have to feed him but he will do better and grow faster with feeding. They eat anything, even flake food. Small pieces of fish, shrimp, mysis or brineshrimp or anything that come in contact with its tentacles.
