BTA / LTA - Red/Yellow/White/Pink

If it makes you any happier, a red LTA is worth a lot more than a red BTA.

Ha, well not really but I have to admit I am very happy with it now. It's really healthy, very sticky, and eats whatever floats it's way. At first I had this whole plan for my tank that cove was supposed to get filled w/lps, and I setup a stand alone rock with my other BTA that was going to be...for lack of a better term.. BTA island, and wanted to do it right this time so it didn't overtake my tank. (see below)

But since then the LTA is happy, and my BTA I put on "nem island" some how had jail broke and climbed to the top of my rock structure.. how it got across a 2" gap I have no idea as they typically can't crawl across sand from what I've seen.

Mammothreefer, could you post a pic of your green tipped BTA

I will try, but it moved to a rather weird spot. It's up and behind my rock work, it's getting light from above but when looking straight at my tank it's hidden behind another rock. I'd have to try to do some weird angled top down shot.

I picked up a red w/ white tip LTA just like you a couple months ago. I had a hard time getting it to attach, and finally learned that it likes low flow/low light/sand. My cap is hosting it and it's under some rocks getting minimal light/rocks. :D Good score!

What I did...well actually the vendor for shipping put the LTA in a pvc tube w/a cap. I just buried the tube. The LTA hasn't moved since, although It doe strech out for more light when the halide goes off.

I saw this too.. What was the vendor?

www.extremecorals.com, DR Mac (pacfic far east) has one last I checked as well.
