We have had a green BTA for over 7 months now. She has been eating steady for the entire time up until the beginning of last week. usually a piece of salmon or shrimp soaked in selcon every 2-3 days. Tank water tests seem good: KH 10, PH 8, Salt 1.025, nitrates maybe 0-10, Ca 425, Mag 1300. 20% water change weekly on a 72 gal bowfront. she gets plenty of light, water flow and hasn't moved since she settled in "her spot" on the 2nd day in the tank. Color is good, she looks and acts normal. if I try to feed her, she retracts quickly and then a few minutes later she is open again. not to mention, her host anemone crab eats like a pig and protects her viciously. I realize that you don't have to feed BTA that often, but going from eating every 2-3 days to nothing for almost 2 weeks. am I over thinking this??
