BTA not wanting to eat.

My BTA has decided not to eat. I know its hungry. I am feeding mysis shrimp. He grabs it, acts like hes goig to eat it and then a little while laterlets it all go. Whats goin on?

Water is good, mouth is closed, just his bubble tips(not really) are short and stubby, so he needs to eat.

Sorry was it healthy before it stoped eating?
 
Ya he was doin pretty good, other than the moving aroung thing, which is better now and he is in a verygood spot. I was going to try silersides next, just wasnt sure if he was healthy enough to try.
 
it might be spliting, would that make it not want to eat? I had the issue about a week ago with it poss. buring itself on the heater, but its really looking like its getting 2 feet.
 
Well now I am just confused. I fed him a piece of silverside lastnite. Took a little bit for him to grab it. This morning he was expelling it through a tiny hole in its side. You can't see the whole unless stuff is coming out. Now what? I thought things came back out their mouth. and the hole is about 1 inch down from the top.
 
ya, and the food came backout whole and slimey. But its only visable when food it coming out. If not for that you would never see it.
 
that is really bad a hole in the foot is really hard to heal
i have no experience with healing that issue so i would hope that somene who has can help

Anemone is the guy for this
 
any holes in the foot on anemones ive had have resulted in them dying so i dont know what to say hopefully someone knows what to do

Picture would help if you can get one. It *could* be splitting or started to split and is now healing instead. I've had 'nems start to split on their own then apparently change their mind and heal back up. When one of mine did that, and split to its mouth, it would eat but the food would come back out through the split in its side. Can't say this is what's happening to yours but it's possible. Mine have survived and done fine after that, I just left them alone and let them heal.

Yup, I've met a few folks from RC at conferences as well as local folks, figured I'd put a face to the username/posts for those I haven't (yet) met.
