Hello all,

Quick question. I have had a GBTA for about 3 months +/_ and all of a sudden it has decided to hit the high road and move to the top middle of my tank. Is this acceptable or a ill sign? Any how, as usual all replies welcome. My parameters are below and hve remained stable for months now and i do a bi-weekly 20% to 25% H2o change.

Thanks,

Adam

have you changed anything in the tank water flow lighting ect..
if not and is healthy looking and will take food I wouldnt be concerned, just looking for a better spot, how old are you bulbs might be in need of more light, generally when I see a nem at the top of a tank good sign of insuf lighting I run 8 54w t5 and my nem hangs out in the bottom 1/3 of the tank just a thought,

He is now on the side of a rock but looks good. You may be right about the bulbs though. I have had them for approx. 6 months. I run 234w of T-5.

Thanks,

Adam

We've had our GBTA for three years and he moves rather regularly. I was always told that this meant they were unhappy. He's open, healthy, and eats regularly. I wouldn't be concerned unless he starts to lose color or will no longer eat.

mine always tend to wander when the SG gets above 1.025. Every time, it's the SG that causes them to move. It's weird but true. Once I lower the salinity, they settle right back down.
