I am not sure what is wrong with my BTA I have had him for at least 6 months and everything has been fine until this past month. He is shriveled up way more and does not take shrimp when I try to feed him. My female Maroon will pull the shrimp out and swim it accross the tank if the BTA does hold onto it. Here are some pics the first one is how it use to look and the second is how it looks now. All my params are good.

Thanks for your help!

Wow, looks bad! :(

It looked a little bleached even in the 1st picture. What kind of lights do you have?

Have you changed anything with regards to flow or lighting? Are your bulbs especially old?

Have you tried feeding something other than shrimp?

It moved to that spot of being upside down by itself. I have 130 watts of PC over a 29 gal and the BTA was about halfway in the tank. The first pic is only about 2 hrs after I got him from SWF.com so that may have something to do with it. I havent really tried feeding him anything else. What should I do?

Also the bulbs are about 6 months old so nothing too bad. Should I get a bag filled with ice and put it next to him to try to get him to release his foot then move him to the topside of the rock?

So what should I do? It doesnt stay looking like that all the time it was opened up about an hr ago but not really big. should I try feeding it something else?

I have had the pair of maroons as long as I have had the anen the female used to bring it food but not anymore. They started hosting within 10 min of them both being in the tank. She still hosts it too.

Maroons can love an anemone to death. Does it look like the Maroon is being rough on the anemone? I do suggest protecting your anemone when you feed it. Cover it with a strawberry basket so the maroon can't take it.

ur anemone is fine...just move it so its not upside down..

Anemone's do that form time to time to expel waste

IT IS FINE

I don't think you can make the blanket statement that the anemone is fine. It's true that anemones will shrivel up just like that to expel wastes. If it's doing it constantly, though, that's not a good thing. If it doesn't have a good feeding response, that also isn't a good thing.
PCs usually aren't the best lights for anemones, but I'm certainly not experienced enough to say it can't be done. I'd say keep trying to feed him 2-3 times a week. That was how I brought my BTA back from what I thought was going to be certain death. You'll have to guard the anemone from the clown. What redvipe2010 said about maroons loving an anemone to death seems to be pretty true in my limited experience. After my anemone split, the one that had the clown in it the least started recovering, and vice versa when the clown decided it now liked the other one better.
