BTA problems

My green BTA is having some unusual behavior...it has started to "run and hide". It has gone to the far back corner of the tank and attached itself to the glass. At times it looks pretty healthy and is still hosting my clowns and other times almost looks "deflated" and flat/sick. I have recently changed the lighting system on the reef tank to AI LEDs however it was doing some of this behavior prior to the change. Clowns still love it and are in and out of it all the time. Any suggestions?

Very odd that it would detach from the liverock and go to the tank wall. You said it was doing this before you changed lights, I would have said that lighting could be the problem, but now not sure. Pics? Parameters? Doesn't sound like typical behavior before splitting. Could some other animal have been pestering it? At this point the clowns might not be helping matters.

You should post your parameters. Anemones typically move, or even split, only when they are unhappy. Could be lighting, water flow, or parameters.

Thanks for the thoughts. I tested my parameters again and the salinity is ok, nitrites, ammonia, phos, cal are all ok, but the nitrates have bumped a bit. I noticed that the sand bed is producing some bubbles on the surface since changing over to the LED lights ... coincidence? Any thoughts? The nitrates seem to have bumped as well since the change, again .... coincidence?
