BTA Question

I picked up a green BTA the other day and have had it now for about a week. I have been feeding it silversides and the feeding response is good. This morning I see it is all deflated and mouth open. I just fed it yesterday a whole silverside. The BTA is about 10 inches in diameter.

IS it common for the BTA to deflate after eating?

Or should I be concerned?

Any information would be helpful.

Mine goes through a cycle of inflating and deflating almost daily. It will be huge in the morning. Normal size during the day. And start to deflate around dinner time.

Sometimes they deflate when expelling waste.

I wouldn't be concerned unless it stays that way for an extended period of time.
