BTA Sick?

I Have had This BTA for about 5 Years. i recently upgraded my tank to a 60 gallon from a 30 gallon. with new A160 kessil lighting. the BTA has been moving around ever since the new tank has been set up and seem to not find a spot he likes. he is in the back of the tank under and rock near the sandbed and is in a ball. he keeps moving around? is he just trying to adjust to the high power lights?

Can we get some pictures.

Did you match the lighting from the old tank in strength?

How did you cycle the new tank or did you transfer the items?

Did you move the sand?

Sounds like he is running from the sunburn it is getting. But hard to say without seeing the tank and the rock it is on. If it is new rock it might be hurting its foot and wants to move to find a better place to attach.

the light is alot stronger in this tank but this tank is alot deeper its a 60 and other was a 30. i took the water from two 30 gallons and put in new tank with new sand also. the rock is all the same. the picture taking was a week and a half back when i first set up tank it a since moved to back of tank and near bottom of tank under rock. everything eles in the tank is fine.

any new update to what i posted?

Sorry I was out with the family.

It looks stressed. Almost like the tank might be cycling and putting off items in the stream. WIth the GHA in there there might be quite a bit of items still being given off.

I have had GHA and successfully had anemones though.

What are the tank test levels? Like pH No3 and such?

i would have to get some test strips i am useing rodi water though.i did turn down the intesity of the light the BTA is still moving around the tank.

I have experienced the same thing except I didn't move to a larger tank but switched to LEDs. I also had over 80 btas clones from a single bta. I acclimmated the tank to the new lights. The first month all seemed normal but started noticing the btas were not as inflated and started moving. Checked the par and they were all located in the 250 range. Fast forward a few months and most of the btas are gone causing the tank to crash. Switched back to MHs and found even lower par. After a month, the tank is doing better. I have counted about twenty or so btas survived. A lot of them are the size of a dime when they were at least 3" before. You may want to lower the intensity to see if that helps. It was my fault for not matching par in the beginning.

update* i turned the lights down to 50 percent intesity from 75 percent. the BTA is still moving around really small now. i tested my water and Calcium is goo. carbonate hardness is at 11DKH. phosphate is at 0.25. Nitrate is 160 PPM really high. PH is 8.0. 0 ammonia and 0 nitrite. im not sure what eles to do with this anenome. is the light to low should i try to move it higher in tank?

i got the nitrate down to about 50 ppm the BTA is still moving around a bunch. i have any updated picture please help guys.
