BTA Slowly shrinking??????

Tanks is a 90RR with 2 150HQI and 2 96W PC...I ahve had this BTA for like 5 months, it was big, aprox. 7inches across when open, and it has ever so slowly been shrinking...now maybe 4.5 inches when open?? and moving alot inthe past month or so??? Not sure why any help????

The water parameters are fine, I do feed it about 1 time a week, when I can get to it?? I thought you didnt "really" need to feed them??

You need to feed the anemone. What is "fine" for some livestock is not fine for others. Posting your water parameters will help a lot, along with you lighting.

Alot of people think they don't need to feed their anemone. Its not true.. you should feed it a few times a week. I feed mine every other day. check out www.karensroseanemones.com

nope, just trying to make people aware of the website.. because it is better than the clown and anemone FAQ posting. The FAQ page made me even more nervous about my new anemone but karens page calmed me down.

Oh, I was just wondering about the type of food that she uses becuase I just ordered some and wanted to hear a some input from someone who actually uses it. Have you heard anything about Coral Vibrance coral food from aqua-holics.com?

Coral Vibrance is not a food that should be given to anemones.

They need meaty foods. Stick to the silversides, mysis shrimp, krill, lance fish or raw shrimp. I feed sliversides, lance fish and rods food. However, Rods food is not available locally to everyone unless you order it on-line. It is a great food for your entire reef.

I wasn't going to feed it to my my nemone, it is for my reef. I feed my nem scallops, mysis, shrimp . . . what ever is in the fridge ya know? What is Rods btw?

Rod's Food is a mix of many things that the breeder of the Rod's Onyx clowns you hear so much about feeds his fish and sells.

Your LFS might be able to order some in for you, but I know that there is an online place you can get it from for yourself, I just can't for the life of me remember where. A forum search might turn something up (if you can get it to work...lol)

Yeah, Coheed's quality stuff. They've got some really unique lyrics (Ten Speed(of God's Blood and Burial) comes to mind...who writes a song about a demonic bicycle, anyways?) and are overall an incredibly talented band.
