BTA splitting or torn foot?

Hello I just purchased this anemone today. While I was at the fish store the manager pointed out to me that it looked like the anemone was splitting. I know he had a little bit of difficulty getting it freed from the bin that he had it in. What do you guys think?

If I remember correctly, they usually start splitting at the mouth, not foot. @bradleym do I remember correctly?

They will actually tend to just walk each half in separate directions and tear themselves apart. It takes a few hours at most. This looks torn, the splitting process shouldn't result in this fuzzy edge of the foot as shown in the picture.

Here's a really good video of a split. That fuzzy stuff should not be visible on the edge of the foot until after the split. Before the split, it should be completely underneath, or ideally not visible at all. After a split, it should heal within a few days to the point where the fuzzy part is all gone again.

Another good example. You barely see any of the fuzzy stuff the whole time. So I don't think this is a sign of a split.
