I recieved a Green BTA last Wensday, it was a baby from a fellow reefer's tank, and it's about the size of a golfball. I put it in the tank on a piece of rock about halfway up in the tank. Well it ended up sliding behind the rock to the back of the tank, where I couldn't see it. I figured it would come out on it's own accord, plus I didn't want to take the rocks out just to get it. Well sure enough on Saturday I saw him come up to the front of the rock. Well I get home today and look at my tank from about ten feet away and see the anemone and another one. I figured I was looking at the tank from a weird angle, but sure enough there are now two. I saw no indication of it splitting this morning, and the baby has moved down about six inches towards the sand while the parent has stayed on the rock. The parent caught some mysis today and ate it, has maybe half of it's tentacles "bubbled". The baby is has some of it's tips "bubbled" as well, and is moving around. Does this sound like a stress split, or do they split young? The tank parameters are good, they are under T5 lighting plus about 2 hours of full sun this time of year.
