BTA upside down!?

I was just wondering if this is common among BTA's? He acts really wierd, he sits upright for a couple of days, then for no reason at all he flips upside down for a day. The next day he will be back right side up. He looks good other than that. He has a host silver stripe maroon clown, that cant stand it when he flips. I also have a LTA that never acts different at all. He has been attached in the same place for the longest time thriving greatly. My water is quality if perfect. Lighting shouldnt be a problem, I have T5 HO 54W 18k lights, blue and white.
If I move him to a nice cave, like crevace, he will move right back to the same place he was before. So he like that one spot but just flips for some reason.
Also his color is good, with no bleaching.
Water is
Ph: 8.4
Salinity: 1.025
Amonia, Nitrates, and Nitrites are all 0.

Any ideas?

This behavior is all very abnormal. A picture would help. Can we see him attached to the sand, looking healthy? And flipped too, if possible.

Ok, I have been trying to post a pic but can't seem to figure it out. Help please.

You have to upload the picture to another site first, like Picasa Web, then post a link to it. Or you can use the button to add a picture and put the picture's url there to add it in the thread.

That'll do. I would really like to see the top side though, because it looks an awful lot like a LTA, or M. Doreensis. They live in the sand bed, which makes sense why he's always at the bottom. And if so, the substrate needs to be a finer sand so it can bury its foot. That would explain why it keeps flipping.

EDIT: Has it EVER climbed on your rockwork?

Well unfortunately the other one seems bleached. And the green one does seem to be another LTA. I'm not a expert, and especially not an expert with LTAs, but it seems you have a few issues. Hopefully a REAL advisor will drop by shortly. :)

yea he bleached shortly after we got him, he is doing better now. He is turning a nice tan color, that you cant really see in the pic due to flash, also his tips are starting to turn purple, so he is doing nicely

Lta like sand, bta like rock. My bta stay on the rock and never venture into the sand. Is it just detaching and falling like that?

I tend to say let them do what they feel is right. I have made the mistake of trying to "help" them and ended up making things worse. Tough call.

He has never gotten on the rocks at all. He has always stayed in the sand. Like I said before I do have a very rocky sand, so that might be why he stays there, also I am almost positve that he is a bubble tip. I do let him do what he wants, I really dont like to mess with them, I just want to know that I am not the only one that has had or heard of this unusal behavior. Other than him flipping upside down he looks and great.

The first and second pics are the same nem right? It looks like it could be lta which would explain why it wont stay on the rocks. The third pic looks like a condylactis anemone. Can you get a picture of the underside of the anemone in the first two pics? Does it have little dots on the underside of it?
