BTA with other coral

I am considering getting a BTA for my two ocellaris clownfish. I was thinking of getting a BTA before I got the clowns, but it made me want to add one more when I got the clowns because they were both hosting a large BTA, so I felt bad I had to take them away from that haha :o .

I have three other coral in my tank right now, I have a smaller frogspawn, a small colony of zoas, and a kenya tree frag. So my question is can I put a smaller BTA in the tank with these coral? Or would I have to remove the coral if I wanted one?

How big is your tank?
Is it optimal for a bta?
As long as the bta is happy it should stay put where it finds a place.

The one issue is that even if it does stay in place, the odds are that at some point it will split, and the clone will have to find a spot. That fact and the size of mine were the reasons that I ended up selling all of them. They were taking out some of my SPS.

I would not worry that it will split and you'll have two, you can remove one and sell it, people are always looking for clones. My rose just split yesterday and it took over a year. Anemones are not considered reef safe, yes they can harm your corals. I have had one for well over a year in a reef tank, had no problems. You should be prepared to move a coral if the bta is getting too close. Is your tank large enough to accomidate a bta? What kind of lights? these are the things to consider before purchasing one.

After a quick search, I think the tank is a 20.

Right now I have a peppermint shrimp in a 20 gallon high, and I was wondering if it would be safe to add a cleaner shrimp?
