BTA won't stay put

I have a RBTA that won't stay put. Tank has been up for about 10 months and the water parameters are all good, lighting is a Radion G2 at 50% brightness and I have 2 MP10's turned about 1/3 up. It is fully open and my clowns host in it, but it keeps moving. I'm afraid it's gonna kill some of my corals. Can I do anything to keep it put? It usually migrates to my overflow and part of goes between the teeth.

What size tank and where is the placement of the MPs? What kind of program on the radion? I peak my G2 Pro at 60% so im guessing intensity is ok. In my experience BTAs don't care much for the whiter leds on the Radion. I have gotten the best results with the radiant color preset which is pretty blue.

MP with BTA = scary. :uhoh2: I hope you have some covers on them if its on the move.

I had the same issue with one of mine in a 60 cube. It was getting too much flow and was unhappy so just kept moving around until finally it found a nice spot. The spot it stayed also had a nice hole that it buried its foot in. Not sure if that had anything to do with it.

All mine are in a 60 cube as well and all but one has its foot planted in a hole. For flow I just use an eheim 1262 flowing about 600gph with two sea swirls. The tentacle don't have a lot of whip to them and the flow is very random which IMO the nems seems to like more. I have a friend who has got a lot of BTAs and he farms them as well. On several occasions he has used an MP10 directed at the BTA to get it to either move from a place he dosnt want it or to get them walking so they are easier to remove. Not saying MPs are bad for nems at all I just think like any directional powerhead placement is key and the MPs do move a lot of water maybe too much in this case??? If you have other corals in the tank especially sps it might be tough to get it to stay put where you want it.
