Bta ??

I acquired a nice BTA from another reefer and have it in my 60. It has over the coarse of 2 months doubled in size and I am a bit worried that it may keep growing. Is it possible to split it and have 2 separate anemones thus giving one or selling on away. I know it sounds stupid but I hate to see it overtake the tank as it is great for my clowns.

What can be done.

People certainly manually split btas. I'm not a fan of it, but if you look on YouTube I'm sure you can find a how to video.

I tried to remove a BTA recently because it was too big and ended up ripping it because of how it placed it's foot. Both halves healed up very nicely in a few weeks. Cutting it manually would be even safer.

Iv seen YouTube videos of people cutting them straight down the mouth and within 30 minutes both anemones would be perfect.
