Bta

I have a BTA that I bought 3 weeks ago. The first night I stayed in a small cave. The next morning he moved and after searching a moving lr's I found it on the roof of another cave and that's where it has stayed since. My question is "Don't they need light?" I can't see it getting any where it's at. My clowns will go up into the cave and they seem to host with it, I can't really see if they are though. I tried aiming a PH into it, but no success there being the caves entrance is lower than I can aim the PH and not stir up the sand. Any ideas on getting it to relocate? Or just hope it will move on it's own or how to get it to let go without harm, because I could close up the cave for awhile if it came out. Jeff

I think it'll probably move eventually. Mine retreated into the caves after it found its way into the intake. But it has moved nearer to the light. I think it just needs some time to get used to its new home and lighting conditions

What litting do you have? we have a 24g with metal halide lighting. We had an anemone that kept hiding in a cave and wouldnt come out. It ended up dying. I dont know if it was becuase it didnt get enough light or if it was just unhealthy to begin with. If i were you i would try to move the rock he is on and get him in the light. Feed it kreel or silversides dipped in selcon for vitamins and hopefully it will eventually find a place in the light and stay there.

Leave him alone. He will find the spot he likes. Moving the anemone or the rock will jsut stress him out even more. Give it time.
