any of u guys w/ anenomes have anenomes w/ several TUNZE streams and/or MJ1200's? i have so many i'm nervous to try another RBTA. i will soon only have 4 instead of 7 MJ1200's and 2 or maybe 3 TUNZE streams. none will be down by LR, all up high on glass. do RBTA's normally move onto glass. i really don't want to put homemede guards on my streams and MJ either, they are enough of an eyesoar already...

Should be able to find a solution to guard your intakes without making it that much less attractive.

Tons of people here have anemones with Tunze and Maxijet powerheads, but there are also probably just about as many who have had an anemone injured or killed because it got caught in the intake.

my bta got caught on a tunze nano stream. even through the flow is more distributed, it lost some tenicles. i was near by and on alert since i already knew it was moving. I havent done it yet, but im going to see if i can line the inside ball with filter floss, or thread screen around it or somthing.

My bta also decided to sit right below my skimmer pump (coralife 65) but i had it covered with needle point plastic.

I came home and the nem was just wrapped around the pump and it looked really scary. but i turned off the pump, and help untangle it and not a single tenicle was damnaged.

bta's normally don't stray up on to glass up high do they? i'm thinking of placing it under LR ledge which holds a favia, in not such crazy flow or light, kinda medium both. i want to try and get nem already attatched to piece of LR when i get it.

No guarantees that it will stay or like the spot you put it in, you know?

Much better safe than sorry.

Some BTAs like to go on the glass if they like that spot. Just be careful. Some times the will detatch their foot and will float in the current for a little bit and soon enough, they get sucked up in the intake. Not fun.

yeah mine chose to sit in the corver of the top of my glass a few days ago, then wondered all over the glass as i shut off one powerhead after another lol

Its nice to get one attached to a rock at the lfs s theres no danger of the lfs tearing the foot, but it wont stay on that rock once its in the tank...
