Bubble King 400 External Pump Questions

I recently bought a used BK 400 External with no manual. The pump is a Red Dragon 2000 (2006) and is pictured below. I have not yet installed the skimmer and tonight I removed the impeller for cleaning.

Questions:
1. Is the bearing and o-ring removable for cleaning?
2. If so, then how do I remove the bearing and o-ring.
3. I noticed a small crack in the plastic ring at the top of the impeller assembly (see attached picture). The impeller and shaft seem to be in good shape and the crack seems superficial. Is this crack anything to worry about?
4. Where can I order another impeller for replacement if required?

PS: I apologize if I am in the wrong forum.

Hi,

The impeller assembly is not meant to be pulled apart. The magnet sits on a precise spot on the shaft itself, and this needs to kept at this location. For cleaning I would recommend soaking the assembly in a 50/50 solution of vinegar and freshwater.

The crack most likely is nothing at all to worry about, just keep an eye on it over the next few months. If you would like to order a replacement impeller give me a call at 317-895-9005.

Thanks,
Jeremy
