Bubble King Cone Skimmer

I saw that but it will be under the Vertex name, right? I wonder if I should wait to see the reviews of this skimmer. I am still trying to figure out the difference in the Supermarin and the Deluxe

I preordered it, theres a thread in the RE and PA sponser area's. It will not be a vertex, it will be a Royal Exclusive. RE bought the machining and presses and rights to all of the equipment from Bubble King.

From what I understand RE is the man. and BK is a brand, not sure though. From what I hear these will not have the BK name on them but will have the same quality and will feature Red Dragon pumps.

Klaus is the man. Royal-Exclusiv is the company. Bubble-King and Red Dragons are his products.

Vertex bought the Machining and such... its all in the thread I posted.

Why would anyone get a BK Mini 200 when this cone out-performs it for less $$$$?

vertex=proline. From my understanding Proline bought out the old molds from euroreef. Made them more affordable and slapped a new name on them. Since Proline is the US distributor for RE they already have a great relationship there. So proline wanted to come out with a Premium Cone skimmer and had RE make them for them. The $999 price is only available until they come in. And someone would buy the mini 200 if they needed the smaller footprint. No different than buying a msx 160 over the 200.

Old molds for the vertex line, that were purchased for the rest of the vertex line. the molds for the cones are new and proline owns them.
