I know a few things about these skimmers. Im just in search of more info. I know they have to have a down side but i have not found it yet.

I wont have mine until the next shipment gets here at the end of this month. Im tiered of waiting. :(

So show me your photos, ppersonal reviews, links to threads, closed or open ,and what ever else you have on these skimmers. I'll share what i have.

I have noticed that most of the threads in other culbs on this skimmer have been closed. So please lets keep the conments good or bad, constuctive & Please, no personal attacks. ;)

You dont have to have one to have a opinion. :D

Does any one no what is the dia neck on the BM 250? It looks like 7" or so.

The ones coming to the US will have 2 pumps but not Ehiem's anymore :(

The thing that really amazes me, just buy looking at the design is, the neck on the BM 250 looks like 6-7" dia and 9-10" tall neck. The water output drain looks about 12" from the top of the neck. The amount of foam that thing has to produce to get the waste into that cup is preety amazing to me.

They say it pulls 2000LPH, but 2200 is the lowest that ive seen posted when testing it. The video with the new 2 pump version is showing it pulling 2500 lph plus. Thats 90 SCFH.

I no their is some guys with this skimmer out their, is the neck that big or what?

I think those that are out there are beta mdls hard to tell what the changes are going to be from beta or of the overseas mdls when they arrive (1) 2 pumps instead of 1 , (2) No air meter as they were rusting. Im going to try and find out when mine will be you can bet Im going to post pics of it.

Im also figuring the size to be roughly 9x15 foot print with a height clearance around 21 5/8 but the were converted from the euro mdls

Where did you order your unit from? Also, in looking at the collection cup joint to the neck, it looks like similar to Lifereef with the O-ring to secure in place. If so, the only drawback would not only be the 2" clearance to remove, but spilling the skimmate when removing and if the O-ring becomes a little dry. I just heard someone cussing when that happened and imagine the stink. :D If anyone has a closeup of the connection that would be great... otherwise, looks like a winner.

I believe it just slips on the neck and rests on an oring.
Heres a reply i had gotten with oliver pritzel on the BM skimmers.

In fact the Bubble Master stands for a new generation of skimmers.

We made comparisons between a needlewheel and a threadwheel and we find out that the threadwheel was 20-30% better than a needlewheel with the same geometrie (diameter and high). But it is very important to have the right material.

So, for us it is clear, that a needlewheel can not have the same performance like our new threadwheel. But this is only one reason, why it was possible to reach an air intake of 2000 l/h with only one "normal" (Eheim 1260) payable pump.

Now we have our new pumps in 230 and 110 Volt with better results.

But I should stop now. You will find out everything yourselve. We will send the next shippment as soon as possible to Reef Geek. If everything goes on as planed, we should be able to sent the next shippment in one week

I wonder if they will custom make these for people with short stands?
How short is your stand, these are like 21" tall.

does anyone know what size tank the 2 pump model is rated for, or an approximate price they will be sold for?
