Bubble tips

Alright my first anemone was a bubble. The stupid thing crawled under a powerhead stood straight up and let go to be sucked in through the powerhead and killed everything in my tank. Can this be prevented and how?

By putting a sponge around the intake of the powerhead. If you had researched, I expect you would have run across this tidbit.

Once mine have found a place they liked they have stayed there. Moderate to strong light, moderate flow, a protected place for the foot.
