Bubbler and Anemone?

HI,

I have had my bubble tip anemone in the tank for about 2 weeks now and he's been perfectly healthy. He did poop which kind of scared me because he looked like he was dying. Other than that he's perfect. One thing i notice which bugs me is that he constantly goes to the bubbler in back corner of my tank! He seems to go under the rock and let the bubbles tickle him. Not sure if this is normal or if he's lacking something. Any help?

how's your system setup?
looks like freshwater setup for saltwater use.
do you have any flow in the tank other than the bubbler?

Yea i have a submerged filter in the tank currently that causes some flow.
He literally just sits on top of the bubbler. Current Tank: 8 Gallon Saltwater, T5 Dual Fluo 13 Watts, 1.025 Salinity, Filtered with Carbon, Heated at 26 Degrees Celsius, 3lbs Coral Rock, 2 Hermits, 2 Snails, 1 Rose Bubbletip Anemone

You need to supplement flow with a powerhead. BTAs don't need a ton of flow, but need more than you are providing. Same is true for most corals. That's why the BTA moved to the bubbler. What do you have for lighting?

I have a T5 Dual Fluo 13 Watts but just bought a nice LED light. What kind of powerhead do you suggest? My tank is only 8 Gal so Im sure I won't need anything too intense

As for flow in that size tank, I would recommend a koralia nano powerhead, or two if you want a bit more flow. Also, get that fake blue sand out of there. Either go bare bottom or put some real reef sand in there.

How am i suppose to get the sand out. That would kill everything and cause them stress

Also I have noticed my clowns fan water near the mouth of my rbta which I read that they are doing this to increase oxygen to the anemone. Maybe you new is doing this for himself with the bubbles since he does not seem to have enough water flow anywhere else
