bubbles on the sand ???

what is this comming from? tank is 5 weeks old with new sand seeded from my old tank and every thing else is fine. i see these bubbles every day for the last few days. its ben 4 years since i started up a new tank so i dont remember what i all saw the first time<BR>

algae off gassing by the looks of it. My tank started doing that as soon as I switched to T5 lighting. It gave the algae enough light to photosythsise (sp?) and release bubbles.

Looks like Diatom Algae off gassing. Should go away soon since your tank is close to cycling over. Just give it time and good water parameters.
