Build: 40g led sps build bizonal

hello team, my gf suggested i change up my rooms so we decided to add a tank in it.

After seeing all the led tanks we decided to go with a AI sol (blue)
also read a ton about setting up differnt zones in a tank (tyree style)

so basically i made a plenum (http://www.garf.org/bulletproofreef/plenum.html) based on garf design.
which has a pcp pipe work with alum mesh screening and a pvc pipe that sticks up from the sand bed and "pulls" the water threw the gaint sand bed via a powerhead that is inside of the rock work. this way we can have a semi-cryptic zone and a exposed zonee- i didnt have a ton of spnge to but under the mess work but there is some

flow- mp10
light- AI SOL ( 1 unit)



The tank has 60 lb of sand and 40 of rock (the rock i got from blakers which makes me wanna hug him bc it was good rock and he gives me beer!)

OVerall i plan on doing all sps

we shall see

Yeah - allows more of a dead area for a cryptic zone - basically a big one

Chris- u know it dude - u need to come by Norman and see ur sister tank bc I have a ton of ur stuff and I can easily frag you some blueberry milli or ' mint chip'

Madk- I have been worried about that here is what's as of now
I have a stubor staghorn plum crazy Miami orchid red planet and a wild guy in there right now and milkdrop (em angel named after a win amp visulizer program ) hasn't really gone after them - he has nipped a little but doesn't seem to care for them (as of right now) I don't have as good extension but who cares beutful fish - and those frags mentioned above the ora ones are a test run - so far so good -

This tank is to the T what I want out of this hobby - lol - so I am going to try to a very similar sent up-

I ran a plenum in the old 65gal. not sure if anyone knew that but I really didnt see a difference in parameters from what I run now in the 150 with out it. I like the idea though, and will be watching yours!

How much sand did u have on top and did u use a power head?

about 5-6in and no power head just an empty crptic zone under neath. Jobert Plenum design

I see- yeah I have 70lbs of live sans then 10 lbs of GARF gunk on top of it - If it wasn't in my room I would do a sump but it makes zero noise right now and that's very applying - I did wake up do a lightning storm at about 4am a couple of days ago- it was weird I was very confused at first
