building a 500 gallon plywood tank

If you didn't add any additional Livestock and you used all of the same filter material and everything is testing good then your cycle is over. Just remember though everytime you add new fish (or bio load) there is a new cycle, usually so small you don't notice. I only mention that because you went up to such a larger size tank than what you had, so don't try to add to much all at once.

Tank looks great!

thanks , i know i rock lol jk yeah i still got to finish it up and make my real doors for my canopy and stand ,,,,, but im waiting good month or so till i finish it up , im getting there

yeah i added everthing from the old tank into new tank and letting it all roll like that for 2 weeks now , not adding more fish for good little while,, least another month or so

Any updates? I see its a fresh water tank.. check over at monster fish keepers. Lots more plywoodies built similarly over there too. Also what type of paint did you used under the epoxy, oil based?

hi everyone , i just wanted to let everyone know its been good 6 months since i added fish and everything good so far , i not finished it all yet , meaning out side of stand or the tank , pretty much just letting it roll as is for while , just thought i let everyonew know good or bad how it going , good so far , will post some pics when i can

Nice build. I don't understand the red but then again it's your tank. So any leaks? If not, I'm sure that all of those folks that said that you would might be upset. HaHa

I'm actually getting read to build one myself. But much smaller and it's going to be my sump/frag area. I have a 150 gallon which I'm using the glass from for the front and maybe a side.

i not done anything really to the tank , everthing still going good , no leaks , , still need to put my filter tank under the stand still need to finish the display inside the tank and finish the out side of the tank too , been slacking i know lol
