Dream 2.0 Update...

The tank is done...DIY and built on site.
I just removed the support tapes.
Next step is "finishing and detailing" of the silicone edges and cleaning up of the glass panes.

Thats one hell of a build! Good luck on keeping it healthy I like the look of it.

Hello WeBrokr,
Thanks for the motivational words :)
Yes my tank does keep me on tippy toes in regards to maintenance. SPS corals are for sure finicky and I salute all those great reefers who have made coral gardens out of their tank. I'm in no way close but I wanna try if I am capable. That's why I'm trying my hand at Dream 2.0 :) and sure need loads of luck.

That takes balls building your own glass tank, especially that size. Looks like you did a very professional job.
I'm also impressed with your patience. I could never take this much time putting a system together. Your patience alone should make you a king of SPS!

hello cediss...:)

Thanks so much for the kind words of compliment my man!
King of SPS? Nowayyyyy....there are so many tanks and people i look upto for inspiration and they are the REAL kings.
To be honest, patience has never been one of my virtues...but being forcibly patient here :lmao: because in this hobby of ours it is "THE" key factor.
I am planning things to the best of my ability, so i dont repeat past mistakes. But how much you plan there will be something that needs to be altered or changed, but i love the learning curve our beautiful hobby has to offer.
So i apologize to you and everyone for the slow pace of things...:worried2:

I am glad you like the tank...wasnt easy building my "NoobELOS":lmao: :hammer:
The seams turned out well...but there are silicone smugdes on the glass which are not an easy task to remove...but being OCD about it i am cleaning out every bit :uzi:. The razor blade feels like an extension of my hand these days :D
I am allowing the tank to cure now...been 6 days now. Planning to start water testing by tomorrow...
WISH ME LUCK yu all!!

Nicely done with the DIY rimless tank. You look ready to turn pro to me.
I'm liking the way the flowrate is looking for the 2.0 too.
Reef on!
