Building a Water Change System, Need Some Pump Advice

I need to find a pump that I can place in a remote location, hookup some clear 1/2" tubing and have it draw water from my tank, it should not have to be primed to do this. Ideally I'd like to start it dry and have it pull the water priming it'self.

Are there any pumps like that available today? I'm working on a way to do water changes without having to lug buckets, I know there are commercially available solutions you plug into the sink but I need something I can control remotely. Hence the need for it to be self priming...

Get a mag and just throw it the tank, it will work

A peristaltic pump will pull very well w/o priming. Check out litermeter or cole parmer pumps on ebay.
