Building my new rock structure

So I have these old deer skulls in my basement and I want to use them in my 50g lagoon im in the process of setting up. The skulls were cleaned out years ago and have been bleached as well. My plan was to cover them in coral eventually... is it OK to use real bone in the tank?

You can. You have to cure it well. Be aware that the bone will decompose with the bacteria. There is calcium phosphate in it, you will have algae growth.

You certainly can. I had a bull skull in my tank for a long time and I found that the bone would slowly disintegraye, since it is basically just calcium

This sounds awesome.. put GSP on it so it takes up the shape...then, in time, the skull will dissolve leaving a self-sustaining free standing GSP deer skull!

The best part is that the GSP will grow faster with the phosphate leaching out of the skull as it decomposes... pics please.

I do not know if is possible, was watching the tv show tanked once and they wanted to incorporate a deer rack in tank.
But when they tried was affecting the PH to much in just a night sitting in the tank. So they end up replicating the rack with a reef safe material.

GSP might be interesting. Another idea would be an encrusting montipora or cyphastrea.

Completely coat it in clear resin. Submerge it in liquid resin and let it hang dry.
