I am building a new fuge for my 75 gallon tank. my daughters babysitter sold me there 55 gallon tank. I got it for next to nothing. I decided to use it for a fuge I will be pumping water out of the sump and into the left side of the tank then it will gravity drain back into the display tank through a bulkhead drilled into the end of the fuge. here is a pic I am still working on the stand and tank.
I was thinking of dividing the fuge in half and putting cheato in the first part and was wanting to put something that looks a little nicer than cheato in the second half.
the questions I have are
suggestions of some macro algae that is nice looking I thought of putting a mangrove plant in there too.
sand? shallow bed, deep bed, or nothing at all I have about a four inch bed in the display.
critters what kind of critters do you guys keep in your fuge. I have a few snails, hermits in the little fuge I have now.
flow I was wondering how much flow you usually put through a fuge I have heard 3x but not sure.
