i have been seeing some of these nano tanks getting really small and i wanted to try doing one. but i wanted mine to be really small.i am using a 9w PC light and a rio 50 for filteration. i plan on putting live sand in it and some live rock too. i will probubly stock it with some zoos and mushrooms amybe more, not really shure yet.

that acrylic loosk really thin, and silicone wont hold it together ive been told, id do a water test before putting any money into it, i bet it wont hold water for too long...

Yeah an acylic sealent/cement would have been better. But it is only 1/2g. How much force does it have on the tank walls?

new pics i got a lot of work done.
the background had dryed

i put water in the tank overnight to test temp and to see if it could hold and it seems to be doing fine. so i started the finish product

weldon would have been ez. and it save alot of time. i don't think silicon will hold the joint together in a long run. the acyrlic from HD is not cast acylic so it will start crazing along the joint in no time.

ok its too late i used silicon

and ya right now im having some problems with the heating if anyone has any segestions
temp drops a lot at night when light is off

paintballer hmm? iu see proto, custom products and a dye sticker :D

Im curious to how much this cost you total.. I wouldnt mind making a tank for my mom to put in her room :D

Brian, you are going to need one of those micro heaters that heat 24/7 and are not adjustable. Thats pretty much the only way to keep it heated, but it will heat it during the day also.

Unless you want a normal sized heater.

i had all the parts laying arounf my house so i it cost me nothing to build but if i had to say a number i would guess around $20
