Buildup of a 90 gallon Reef (picture intensive)

25 gallons isn't a nano. nano needs to be sub-10gallons. 25 gallons is a mini/micro reef. :lol: i had a 15 gallon that i considered a mini-reef :bum:

I've got a 3 gallon, does that count as a nano? It's got some mushrooms, leather and zoos in it.

I think the nano forum considers anything under 30 gallons a nano.

I started with a 6' long piece of 1x6 pine and a 6' long piece of 1x12 pine. I also bought a 1x1 piece of hardwood and a piano hinge. I took a sliver of my stand to the store to match the stain color too.

I routed the edges to round them out and sanded the wood followed by numerous coats of stain.

I like the way a white inside looks so I taped the lid to give it a nice stain ring and then painted the entire inside white.

I tried to do a really clean job of running the wires from the PC's I had laying around.

Not bad for a few hours and about $30 in material.

If I ever rebuild my canopy for the 90 this is more how I am going to do it. It's really light and was easy to make.
