Buildup of a 90 gallon Reef (picture intensive)

Little over a month for colors and hink 6 weeks for the polyps to fully extend again.. This was even with haiving 15-20 gallon waterchanges done weekly.. these bugs really destroy the sps corals :/ Only thing we can really do is provide the best lighting/water/and food for them rest is up to the coral to recover..

thriride, your tank looks awsome. I love the corals you picked!

Thanks BlueTBird!

T,

Have you heard about blue/green chromis not taking the red bug treatment well? I've read a thread where they said theirs had died. Mine looks like they went through a dsb vs. bb fight! They're fins are ripped up, their scales are damaged, one is dead...

update time. Lost two chromis in the red bug treatment. No other losses other than those pesky redbugs.

Two weeks after the RB treatment I did a FW treatment. No losses experience other than a lot of red bugs. Ozone will be added to the tank soon. I already have the controller, just waiting on the generator.

Here is an actinic shot:

And some more shots I submitted to reefmonkey in the photo contest:

That's quite the compliment coming from you rjwilson37, thank you!

Lunch, I think the macros are slowly getting better. Still have much room for improvement though. I am using a Canon G6 with no special attachments. I've seen some images from a Canon G5 with a macro lense and the shots were simply amazing.

I might invest in one of those as soon as I get some expendable income. Yeah right!

I've got a webcam on the tank now as well. http://www.reeftrends.com/webcam.html is the link. The lights will go off at 23:00 and only actinics are on now but it's still pretty cool.

Here is a new coral I got from coral dynamics a few days ago.

This is close to the right color but it is actually more vivid than this:

Actinic shot but the color is quite accurate as well as the amazing glow. I've never seen one this color, it is quite stunning.

Thanks. :D

This thing is practically highlighter yellow/green colored!

Let's hope it grows fast so it doesn't look so small in the tank.

This one received some attention previously. The color of the new growth is a lot light and it has grown a good bit too.
