It will move around until it finds a spot it likes. Just make sure your power heads are covered so it doesn't get stuck. The clown will go in the Anemone if he wants. There is no way you can force him to.
From my reading, most people feed their Anemones silver sides, but you don't have to feed them as they are photosynthetic.
How long has your tank been up? The only reason I ask, is that these are basic questions that you should be able to answer before purchasing your first Anemone. Please don't take that comment as rude, I just don't want to see you nuke your tank if the Anemone dies. :thumbsup:

Unfortunately, Anemones require very high lighting and the 6k Marineland fixture isn't going to work. I currently have a similar Marineland fixture above my 12g Planted Betta tank and have issues keeping some of the higher light requirement freshwater plants alive.
Definitely not nearly enough light for the anemone. I'd suggest either upgrading your lighting or returning the anemone.

Dont take this the wrong way... But i get the feeling u didnt do much research before investing in your anemone?
As stated anemones need lots of light and a very established environment before being introduced to a system.
Just a tip for the future, make sure you do vast amounts of research before any purchase, whether its a fish, coral or anything else you want to introduce into your marine tank.
As for ur clowns being hosted, it can also depend on whether you clowns have been tank bred. As that will hinder the chances dramatically as they don't no what there supposed to be doing. Where as wild clowns do...
Give ur anemone time to adjust, i have 2 in my tank. My BTA stays in the same place all the time, but my other one moves around and stays behind rocks etc. but hes still doing well and is very healthy!

Actually wether the clowns were tank breed or wild cought makes no diffrence in wether they will go in an anemone or not. I guarentee if you got a tank breed percula and a rittiri anemone the clown will be in the anemone within the day.

Okay, well based on my experience then. As ive got a BTA and put a tank bred percula in with it and after 6 months he went no where near it after trying to lure him in with food night after night.
Did some research and spoke to a few different people who told me the problem i had
Then i put a wild tomato clown in and instantaneously he was hosting...

The reason the percula didnt take to the bta is because it isnt a natural host anemone for that clownfish, it has nothing to do with where they were born but more about the type of anemone. Even a wild cought percula will not go into a bta right away and may not ever go into it.

I could be wrong..... But... Mine at least can go a good few days without feeding. Some people don't feed them at all?! And have success
Don't worry to much just yet. Just give it a bit more time to settle!
They are sensitive creatures and fussy where they settle and it could take a few weeks till hes happy with his 'spot'

It isn't a requirement to feed an Anemone, as they are photosynthetic.
What size tank do you have?
