Bulb change...what a difference!

I just changed my bulbs from Ushio to Hamilton. Both are 10K 250 watt DE. I can't believe how much difference there is between the two. I knew to expect a difference, but didn't think it would be so dramatic. The Hamiltons are way way bluer and much dimmer than the Ushios. I turned off the actinics and there was no major noticable difference. I wish I would have taken before and after photos.

I'll see what happens when they burn in more. Right now my inclination is to switch back to Ushios next time. I'll be keeping a close eye on my corals to see what their opinion is.

I just changed mine last night from 10k Coralife to 14K Ushio 250w DE, so far I am VERY pleased with the color and looks to burn in fine. However, I did realize there would be a drop in intensity from 10k to 14k, but man was it dramatic. Almost blinding to "do I still have enough light?"

I'm wondering if I have enough light now too. It seems so dim. It is easier on the eyes though.
